As of Wednesday, 20th of July, the UniversalPage Team is allowing the public to create and test a UniversalPage and begin giving feedback.
According to Jake Prins, founder of Universal.Page, this hackathon-winning project is focused on bringing a new web-based layer of features and customization to the popular LUKSO Universal Profiles.
Universal Page allows you to login with your Universal Profile and quickly set up a customizable webpage with your profile information. When getting started, you mint your unique Universal Page Name (UPN) as an NFT on the LUKSO Blockchain. This name becomes your subdomain and can be used to link to your own Universal Page. You own your page by holding the UPN NFT, which could also be sold or transferred. A Universal Page will always show the profile of the Universal Profile that owns the UPN.
Another great feature of your Upage is the ability to quickly and easily send/receive $LYX when connected to your UP Wallet. This is done with a simple interface… so, no more messing around with copy pasta hash addresses every time you send crypto somewhere.
Universal Pages promise to be a an excellent upgrade to an already better blockchain experience with LUKSO.
Sign up for your own Universal Page starting Wednesday, and join their discord to provide feedback.
In a future release, it will become possible to list digital assets for sale directly from your Universal Page. This allows creators to build their own personalized NFT storefront and connect directly with their audience. These features are still a work in progress and are not yet available in the public beta.
Please be aware that this is a beta version for early-adopters to test and experiment with, so everything you build now is on the LUKSO Testnet and WILL NOT transfer over to LUKSO Mainnet (you will have to start over when Mainnet launches).
