In my opinion, Alts is one of the unofficial spokesmen of LUKSO. He’s the reason why I’m in the Fam today. He Pink Pilled me right before the release of the Hexojerzo #IYKYK. Everyone who interacts with Alts can tell he’s genuine. It’s always a good time to watch one of Alts latest 3d rendered short stories with his iconic CloneX or his Metahead. If he’s in a Spaces, you know he’s there by that contagious laugh. Let’s dive in.
How long have you been in the crypto space and how did you get your start?
Alts: I first discovered Bitcoin back in 2013 when I was frustrated with my bank trying to get some funds onto a poker site. I figured out how to make an exchange account and bought 1 $BTC for $200. I played on the site for a couple of weeks. I did well, but I didn’t love the site so I cashed out my now 7 Bitcoin. Sadly, I didn’t take the time to truly understand what I was using as there wasn’t much info on $BTC back then so I wasn’t too hard on myself. Fortunately, a good friend got me interested again in 2016. This time I really dove into learning blockchain technology and how the ecosystem works. I fell in love and have been learning, creating, and building ever since.
What was the first negative experience that taught you a valuable lesson?
Alts: Don’t keep much of anything on an exchange lol.
The famous @Alts_Anonymous account has been on twitter since 2018, do you have an alternative?
Alts: I did have a personal account…web 2 as it were. I found myself posting more and more about all things crypto. I figured it would make sense to create a new account as none of my web2 fam cared anything about blockchain. I also wanted to start my journey as a Multiverse hype man and creator in the space. I decided anonymity would strip away the issues with anxiety and expectations that I fell prey to in the meatspace, as my good friend Ethalorian likes to call it.
How did you first hear about LUKSO?
Alts: I was deep in the trenches of the altcoin mania of 2017-2018, but was always looking for a project I truly believe in and a community I vibed with. I heard of Fabian before through Ethereum and got a refresher when I was following this small project $ZINC who was working on some interesting things using the ERC725 standards. Fabian was gracious enough to mentor the project while they built with those standards. I dug into his background and contributions further and saw that he announced that he was going to launch his own blockchain. I was already sold. I was super excited to jump in during the rICO period.
What specifically was it that drew you in to participate in the rICO?
Alts: The vision played a huge part to me. I am extremely forward thinking and while reading the white paper and digging deeper into what LUKSO was about, I found myself taken aback at just how much further I needed to be looking forward still. Once I realized the potential of blockchain, I imagined a Ready Player One style world where most of our wealth, assets, creations, friendships, identity, and reputation would exist online in a truly decentralized manner. LUKSO is the ONLY blockchain I think that can actually get us there. On top of that, the track record and dynamic skill sets that Fabian and Marjorie bring to the table from both a technical and creative side is unparalleled in this space. Their mad dance moves were a nice bonus.

What is the background of the “Pink Pill” phrase?
Alts: I must say it’s always such a pleasure to be an OG in a project and get to see things like this arise organically. Take the cloneX Lime Gang for instance, a couple of my friends were goofing off, having lots of laughs, and posting memes in discord long before anything was even live. Then it turns into an actual trait in the collection and stands for something really special. I can’t even recall who said Pink Pill first. I do know Rox used it as inspiration and made an amazing piece of art, the 1st iconic Pink Pill bottle. We needed a nickname for our process of shouting from the rooftops about LSPs. We are all so damn passionate about the project, the team and community. LUKSO had very little official marketing so we had to carry the torch to spread the good word, the Pink word.
How many people do you think you’ve “Pink Pilled”?
Alts: A lot haha…I’d say a minimum of 725. I have definitely onboarded a ton of people into at least taking some time to learn and understand what LUKSO is all about, which is what I recommend to start with. Sure, it’s a great buy if you don’t know what you’re holding, but if you do truly understand then you can do a whole lot more than just hodl.
What is your favorite LSP (LUKSO Standard Proposal) and why?
Alts: There are so many good LSPs already and more to come. I think LSP6, the Key Manager, will play a huge factor in finally changing the user experience on the blockchain. I’m also really excited for LSP7-8 and how the evolution of NFTs will continue to grow moving forward with these new standards. As someone who has been deep into NFTs for a couple of years now, the current ETH standards fall short in so many ways, it’s about time web3 gets an upgrade.
What is your take on the latest potential updates on the LUKSO tokenomics? What effect do you think it will have on LUKSO when it is confirmed?
Alts: As a hodler I love it. I was expecting the supply to be 100m or maybe burn some to like 80m. Looks like it’s straight to 35m and that’s it, no more $LYX ever… I am hella bullish on that. It also makes it seem like the team doesn’t need as much ammo to try and get people to come in and build on LUKSO, almost like they have something big up their sleeves that would give them all the confidence they need to only create 35m.
What was your favorite BuildUP Hackathon winner and why?
Alts: It’s so hard to pick a favorite, I thought there were so many amazing entries that gave us insight on ways to utilize the LSPs. Recovery.social was very interesting. I think social recovery tools will be super helpful in the future, having a way to actually recover assets and profiles despite losing access to keys will be a relief to many. HoloView is doing some amazing things integrating Universal Profiles with AR tech.I loved how LOOKSO is tackling the social media side of things. I got to give a shout out to the KEEZdao fam for KEEZ Protocol which showcased how sleek creating and interacting with a DAO via UPs can be. There were lots of great entries, I will be anxiously awaiting the next BuildUP.
What are you working on/excited about? How can we learn more about it?
Alts: My project Metaheads will be launching the Genesis NFT soon. I am stoked to have a vessel to pour all my creative energies into with a team of insanely talented friends utilizing all the wonderful assets and connections we have already made in this space. I am excited to be able to curate a Multiverse journey for my fam with cinematics, phygitals, AR/VR experiences and some new stuff you haven’t seen in this space yet. Keep a third eye out as the story could begin any day now…
What is your preferred doneness on a steak?
Alts: Ooh depends a bit on the cut, but a medium well filet is my jam.
